She was born to Pansy Wilson on November 10, 1933, in Sinks Grove, West Virginia. Helen married Curtis M. Baker on October 10, 1950, in West Virginia. She was employed as an assembly line worker with Ford prior to her retirement on August 31, 1994. Helen was a woman of faith who enjoyed reading her bible. She was charter member of Baptist Temple. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and spending time with her family and church family. She will be sadly missed by all.
Helen is survived by her son: Ronald L. Baker and his wife Janice of Connersville; granddaughters: Josetta Wiwi and Jay, Becky Bruns and Lance all of Brookville; five great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her mother, Helen is preceded in death by her husband of seventy-years, Curtis; grandson: Jonathan Tinch; sister: Bonnie Carol; brother: Charlie Butcher.
A funeral service will be conducted on at 11:30 a.m., on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, Connersville. Burial will follow at Laurel North Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m., until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Connersville Baptist Temple or the Fayette County Public Library in Helen’s honor.
