Barbara J. Morris

A Connersville native born June 7, 1932, Barbara was the daughter of Arthur and Ruth Webb Stewart. In 1950, she graduated from Connersville High School and was married to Lawrence H. Morris, Jr. on June 25, 1950 at the Grand Avenue United Methodist Church. Barbara had been employed as an assistant with Dr. Baltzell, a teacher’s aide at Grandview and Frazee Schools and most recently, at Stant Manufacturing. She was an active member of the Grand Avenue United Methodist Church and was a former member of Kings Daughters. She enjoyed bowling, playing Bunko and had won awards for her crochet work. Barbara most enjoyed time with her family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 64 years, Lawrence H. Morris, Jr.; her children: Dena Warstler and her husband, Wayne of Syracuse; Larry Morris of Ft. Wayne; her grandchildren and their spouses: Troy Warstler and Brandi of Milford, Tracy Dewey and Ryan of Dorr, Michigan; Kyle Morris and Leslie of Ft. Wayne, Katie Gladieux and Matt of La Grange, Kentucky; Anna Hendrick and Ryan of Ft. Wayne, Brett Morris of Indianapolis, Reid Morris of Ft. Wayne; nine great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her sister: Juanita Rowland and her brother: Arthur Stewart, Jr.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Rev. Kara Bussabarger of the Grand Avenue United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday where memorial contributions may be made to the church.
