Robert S Hollander

He was 84 years old. Robert was born and raised in Queens, NY and has since been a resident of Congers, NY for the past 57 years. He proudly served the New York City Police Department for 20 years and went on to serve his local community of Clarkstown, NY as a Forman for the Town of Clarkstown Highway Department. Upon retiring, he also served as a Clarkstown School Bus Driver. He was the beloved husband of Carol Hollander during their 63 years of marriage prior to his passing. Robert was the loving father of Linda Willows (Richard), Donna Straub (Harold) and Scott. He was the doting grandfather to Richard Willows (Victoria), Thomas Straub (Valentino), Matthew Willows (Christine), and Diona Buettner (James). During his long life, he was fortunate enough to become an adoring great-grandfather to Harper Willows. Robert was a caring brother to William Hollander(Lois).

In his free time, Robert, aka Captain Bob, enjoyed fishing and spending time at the beach with his family. He was always the biggest fan of his grandchildren. He bragged endlessly about all their accomplishments throughout their lives. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
