Fredrick J. Fink

Fred J. Fink passed away March 11th, 2022 as a result of a serious fall. Fred was born in the Bronx, NY on October 15th, 1925. Son of the late Fred Fink and Ethel Fink. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Mildred (Mickey) and siblings Irene, Billy, Tommy, and Jimmy. Left to cherish his memory are his Daughter Betty DeMarco (John), Son Fred (Cathy), Sister Theresa (Schott), Grandchildren Joan (Paul), Denise (Glen), John, Julie, Melissa (AJ), Michael (Dawn), Great Grandchildren Jack, Audrey, Jonah, Fiona, Dylan, Sawyer, John James, Jessie, Samantha, Alex, Sophia and Stephen, as well as many nieces and nephews. Fred proudly served his country by joining the US Navy at the age of 18. He participated in The Landing at Normandy and the invasion of Okinawa. He reached his goal of being a NYC Fireman, retiring as captain. He always worked hard in his life to provide the best for his family. In spite of his age he was not one to be idle. He enjoyed family gatherings, eating out, reading, shopping, and a little wine would make his day. If you asked his opinion, he gave it whether you liked it or not. He always gave his family a good laugh and loved each one of us in our own special way.
