Eileen Ann Kane

Eileen was born on March 28, 1949, in the Bronx, NY to Andrew and Eileen (Rooney) Kane. The family moved to Valley Cottage in 1958 and settled in the wonderful family neighborhood of Quaspeck Boulevard. Eileen was a devout Catholic and was an active member of St. Paul’s in Valley Cottage, NY, and Immaculate Conception in Stony Point, NY. Eileen graduated from Albertus Magnus High School in Bardonia, NY and worked for the phone company in Rockland County until she retired after over 30 years.

Eileen was one of the most thoughtful and generous people and dedicated her life to her family. She is preceded in death by her father, Andy, her mother, Eileen, and her brother-in-law Billy Hopkins. She is survived by her sister Kathleen Hopkins, her brother Michael Kane and his wife Annie, her brother Gerard Kane and his wife, Bernadette, and her sister-in-law Peggy Kane. Her nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews were the light of her life: Jen and Hughie Hennessy, and their children Hughie and Emma; Willie and Riley Hopkins and their son Welles, Melissa and Brian Bonte, Kiernan and Kimberly Kane and their sons Kennedy and Kyler, Stephanie and Nick Serino, Shawn Kane, Gerard Kane, and Drew Kane.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, February 19, 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service in Congers. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, at 11:00 am at St. Paul's Church in Congers. A private interment to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Rockland Lake.
