Caroline Ann Berry

Caroline Ann Berry of Surfside SC passed away on July 9, 2023. She was born on April 10, 1926, to William and Margaret Newby in Hackensack NJ. In 1960 she moved to Congers NY with her husband, where they raised their six children. Carol was a letter carrier with the US Postal Service for many years in Congers NY, the first female letter carrier to work in the Congers Post Office. She retired to Surfside SC in 1993, where she enjoyed the beach, driving her golf cart and playing bingo.

She is survived by her daughters MaryEllen Denton, Joanne Brazilian, Kathleen Koenig and daughters in law Ann and Katherine. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren William, Michelle, Diana, Charles, Jennifer, Michael and 5 great grandchildren Cameren, Matthew, Kahlan, Connor and Eliza with one more great grandson expected in October and also many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband Charles, daughter Margaret and sons John and Joseph. She is also predeceased by her sister Veronica and brothers William and Henry and a grandson Thomas.

She will be greatly missed by all.
