Tom never let the disease get the best of him maintaining his “gift of gab” and the ability to strike up a conversation with everyone he met. He was loved by everybody who crossed his path for his compassion and generous nature. Toms favorite moments were those spent with his work family at DES, his hot rod friends, riding the country roads of New England, riding his Harley, on the putting green and having a relaxing conversations with friends and family he loved dearly. Tom served in the United States Air Force and he worked at the New Hampshire State Department of Environmental Service in the Air Quality unit.
Tom is survived by his life partner Brenda C. Payne of Hopkinton, NH; daughter Lori Logan and her husband Todd and their children Jackson and Lizzy; son Bob Hyde of Asheville, NC, Brendas’ children, Carolyn Parker, her husband Shaun and their children, Maddison and Logan of Goffstown, NH; Jesse Payne of Manchester, NH.
A special thank you to the many nurses and doctors from Dartmouth Hitchcock (oncology) and Massachusetts General Hospital who went above and beyond in their care.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the New Hampshire Food Bank,
