On the morning of April 26, 2024, Terry Church of Loudon, NH and Bradenton, Florida, closed her eyes and passed into the galaxy of stars of loved ones who journeyed before her. Her loving husband, Dan and niece, Robin were by her side.
Terry was born to Anthony and Mary Romanowski and raised in Stamford, Connecticut. Her Polish roots and heritage shaped the indefatigable spirit of strength, principles, and values of the woman she would become. Her feisty strong opinions were often peppered with humor and deeply respected. To be her friend was a gift.
After graduating from the University of Connecticut, Terry lived in New York City, but her heart remained in New Hampshire where she spent her younger years with her beloved sister, Fran, and her family. She worked for Andy Moynihan at The Advisory Council for New Hampshire Vocational Education for 14 years.
It was in New Hampshire, where she met and married Dan Church. Their love and commitment forged a strong partnership of teamwork and friendship for over fifty years. They traveled extensively and spent many happy years on Lake Winnipesaukee in the summers and Bradenton, Florida in the winters. Terry was an avid birder and lover of animals. Together, she and Dan enriched their lives by raising poodles. Ebony, Tracy, Linen, and Ember are lost without her. Terry was also a passionate bridge player and enjoyed the intellectual challenge, but mostly the camaraderie of the game.
Terry was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Mary, much loved sister, Fran Rice and husband, John, and her beautiful nephew, Ricky. She is survived by her devoted husband, Dan, niece Robin and husband Brian, their children Wes, wife ShanShan, and children, Alula and Cooper, Jenna and her wife Gemma; nephew Jay Rice and wife, Pat; several great nieces and nephews and extended family Jennifer and Matt Rein, and her childhood best friend, Claudia, the last of the Kobietas who holds the key to the treasure chest of lifelong memories and stories, and maybe secrets.
Terry always knew that the essence of spirit lies beyond that thin veil of life that always brings us closer. There are really no good-byes - just 'see ya' til we meet again. To those who knew her well, she will always be our 'Chichi'.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Terry's name be made to the Pope Memorial SPCA, 94 Silk Farm Road, Concord, NH 03301 / www.popememorialspca.org. Funeral services will be private. Care has been entrusted to Bennett Funeral Home of Concord, NH.
