While I did not have the honor of knowing or serving with Mr. Sheppard, he is a navy and submarine brother.  Thank you for your service to your country sir, and now at long last sailor you have eternal fair winds and following seas. We send our condolences to his family and friends.

Every once in a while, you meet someone who is exceptional in human spirit, this is the case with Shep.  Although my visits to Concord were professional in nature, taking the time to visit Shep became the highlight of my day.  It is not often that you meet someone who has the dance of joy in their heart.  I will miss Shep.

Shirley was a good man and fellow U. S. Navy Sailor.  I knew him from working at St. Paul's School, where he was admired for his good work and honesty.  I am sad to learn of his passing.  Shirley and his family are in my prayers.

I'm so glad I was able to find my Uncle Shirley. For five decades, to me, he was just a very handsome face in the photos my family kept. I hope to finally meet him in person in the resurrection. John 5:28,29
