Roberta C. Kelley

1940 – 2022

Concord, NH – Roberta Charleen Kelley of Concord, NH, passed away on September 13, 2022 at the age of 81. She was born in Concord, NH, and was the daughter of Henry Allen and Eleanor Bullock. She graduated from Concord High School in 1958.

In 1960, Roberta married William D. Kelley. They raised three children, a foster daughter and two grandsons. Roberta worked for the State of NH, both at the DMV and the Department of Education, where she retired after 35 years of service.

Roberta was a kind and generous soul who was loved by many. She was affectionately called “Gigi” by her family and “Bert” by her close friends. She loved to dance, and for many years she could often be found dancing the night away at the Yee Dynasty and enjoying the company of her friends. She was described as a “hoot” and will always be remembered for her thoughtful and caring ways. Roberta was a long-time volunteer for the City of Concord Auditorium helping with cookie baking and serving.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, William D. Kelley, Sr., her daughter, Debra Lynn Kelley Coulter, her parents, Henry Allen, Eleanor Bullock and Harold Bullock, and her brother, Russell B. Allen. She is survived by her children Paula Jean Dow of Hopkinton, NH, and her husband Steve, William D. Kelley, Jr. of Fairhaven, VT, her foster daughter Pamela Sweet of Crystal River, FL, and her husband, Mark, her sister Jarna Perkins of Bradford, NH, and her husband, Gary, her grandchildren Justin Coulter of Epsom, NH, and his wife Joannea, Shayne Coulter of Londonderry, NH, and his partner Kristen Murby, Sonja Lang of Webster, NH and her husband Ryan, and Lindsay Dow of Warner, NH, and her partner Codey Hopkins, great grandchildren Isabella Lynn Coulter and Penni Jean Lang, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Bennett Funeral Home in Concord, NH. Calling hours will begin at 11:00 am followed by a ceremony at Noon. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
