Boscawen- Robert R. Malcolm passed away suddenly Sunday January 27, 2013. Bob was born in Stoughton Mass. on July 1st, 1936 to Roy and Beatrice Malcolm. He married his wife, Patricia (Boland) Malcolm on March 30th, 1957.
When Bob came to NH he worked for Hussey and Wiren as a licensed embalmer. Then for many years he worked as a tool maker at Webster Valve in Franklin, NH. From 1978 until present he and his son, David, owned and operated Bradley's Pizza in Boscawen.
Bob was very active in the Boscawen community. He was a member of the Penacook/Boscawen Lions Club. While raising his family he enjoyed working on the Boscawen Old Home Day auctions, many church suppers and enjoyed working in the park. Bob and Pat were named Boscawen's Citizens of the Year in 2007.Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and many lifelong friends; their home was always open for many gatherings.
Bob was predeceased by a son, Jay P. Malcolm, in 1984 and two bothers Wilfred and Barry Malcolm.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Patricia, a son David Malcolm and his wife Pam of Boscawen, a daughter Jana Dyer and her husband Grant of Penacook, a son Keith Malcolm and his wife Dena of Salisbury and a daughter Erin Malcolm and her husband Jon Rheaume of Londonderry. He leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 5pm-7pm at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main Street, Concord.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 12pm at Boscawen Congregational Church, 12 High Street, Boscawen. A reception will follow immediately after the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boscawen Congregational Church, 12 High Street, Boscawen, NH 03303.
The Bennett Funeral Home of Concord is in charge of the arrangements.
