“Dickie”, as he was best known, was born in Concord on January 24, 1960 a son of Russell E. and Margaret (Murphy) Sargent, Sr. He attended Concord schools and graduated from Concord High School. He attended Tilton Prep for 5 years.
He worked at Friendly’s Restaurant on North Main Street in Concord for over twenty years. He was an active member of the Special Olympics as a team member of the Winnipesaukee Warriors and the Blazing Colors.
Dickie was an avid sports fan of the New England sports teams. He was a member of the Capital Area of Retarded Citizens and enjoyed going to their dances. He was also a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Concord.
Dickie was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Mary Sargent. He is survived by two sisters, Rosann Gregory of Franklin and Martha Marden of Orlando, FL; a brother, Russell E. Sargent, Jr. of Loudon as well as a nephew, six nieces and several grand nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 10 at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, Concord. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 11 at Christ the King Parish at St. John the Evangelist Church, 72 South Main Street, Concord. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
