Richard (Dick) Gagne, formerly of Bow,NH recently passed away at age 96. He was born in Concord,NH on February 10, 1925 to Thomas and Lena Gagne. He graduated from Concord High School in 1943 and entered the US Navy in July of 1943 where he served in the Atlantic Fleet based in Norfolk, VA naval base. In June of 1946, he along with his brother Raymond purchased the Texaco Gas Station on Main St in Concord, which they operated for 10 years. He was later hired by Concord Savings Bank where he operated the consumer loan department. He was a member and director of the Webster Lake Association, secretary and treasurer of the Concord Automobile Associates. He was director and president of the Merrimack County 4-H Associates. He served as treasurer and director of the NH Credit Counseling Associates. He retired from the bank as Vice President and Assistant Secretary on March 1, 1984, and moved to Deland FL where he and his wife Polly lived happily for 23 years. His greatest joy was spending every summer at Webster Lake surrounded by family and friends enjoying boating and all water sports. He was predeceased by his wife Polly of 62 years, his son Robert, infant daughter Mary Jane, great grandson Jack, brother Raymond and his wife Gertrude and brother George. He leaves his daughter Linda ( John) of Manchester NH, son John ( Judge Maria) of Santa Fe, NM. Grandsons Matthew ( Cindy)Ramaska of Tyngsboro MA, Maxwell Ramaska of Plaistow,NH, Gabriel ( Jennifer) Gagne of Boxford,MA, Gregory ( Meghan) Gagne of Boxford, MA. Also four great grandchildren Samson, Ivy, Bellamy and Bryn. Several nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian burial will take place on September 29, Christ the King church, Main St ., Concord NH at 10 am, with a 9 am calling hour preceding the mass. Burial will take place immediately following the Mass, at Blossom Hill Cemetery, 207 N State St., Concord NH, with military honors.
