Paul J. Dill

Paul was born in St. Paul, MN on September 4, 1929 to Harland K. Dill and Mary (Halliden) Dill. Paul was predeceased by his only brother Robert F. Dill.

Paul was a graduate of Cathedral High School (’46) Springfield, MA and Bentley College (’56) attaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps as a Staff Sergeant realizing action in the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of Concord/Epsom Elks Lodge #1210 and American Legion Post #75.

After graduation from Bentley College he worked as an Accountant and General Manager for HP Hood Co., Boston, MA for 21 years. He retired in 1998 from Pittsfield Weaving Corporation as Chief Financial Officer.

He enjoyed watching sports, golfing, reading, playing cards, especially cribbage, and spending as much time possible with his grandchildren whom he adored. While living in Bow he coached youth baseball.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Doris (Linehan) Dill, his daughter Paula Dill-Scrivens and husband James of Boscawen, his son James and wife Christine of Stratham, and daughter Susan Gagne and husband Adam of Pennsylvania. There are also seven wonderful grandchildren, Sarah, Jacob and Kevin Gagne, Brandon and Tyler Dill, William and Jonathan Scrivens. He is also survived by his sister–in-law Alice Marie Dill and many beloved nieces and nephews, his wonderful long time friends and truly great neighbors.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2012 from 3pm-7pm at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main Street, Concord.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 10am at St John’s the Evangelist Church, 72 South Main Street, Concord, NH.

Military burial will take place at 12pm at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.

The Bennett Funeral Home of Concord is in charge of the arrangements.
