Born in Brockton, MA he was the son of Roscoe and Mae (Woods) Currier. He grew up in West Concord and was a graduate of Concord High School.
In 1951 he married Irene (Glines) in Landaff, NH. “Nelly”, as he was known, worked for the NH Department of Transportation Traffic Division for 39 years.
He was an avid bowler for 50 years and a 53 year member of the Boscawen Congregational Church.
He was predeceased by his brother, Ralph Currier.
Family members include his wife of 58 years, Irene Currier of Boscawen; three daughters, Melodye Healey of Durham, NH, Linda Hendrix and her husband Jay of Independence, MO and Tammy Moore of New London, NH; grandchildren, Christopher Moore and his wife Christine of Concord, N.C., Andrew Moore and Shannon Healey both of Boscawen; four sisters, Louise Foster of Concord, Christine LaBonte of Littleton, Catherine Hardy of Concord and Marilyn Lucier of Boscawen; one brother, Lawrence R. Currier and his wife Celia of Kingman, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 6pm- 8pm on Friday, April 30, 2010 at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, Concord. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the Boscawen Congregational Church, Boscawen. Burial will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Boscawen.
