Nancy B. Shea, 82, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Hospice House in Concord. She was born in Concord on Sept. 12, 1934, a daughter of Joseph and Harriet (Bryant) Blanchard. She spent her life in the Concord area and was a graduate of Concord High School. She later worked for Grand Union and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Nancy loved sewing, quilting, and gardening. She expressed her love for people through her sewing. Her beautiful quilts and other hand sewn gifts will be treasured. For many years she was the publisher of the Crestwood Community Newsletter, “The Caller”.
Nancy was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Peter Blanchard.
She leaves behind her husband, Joe Shea, her children, Paula Saltmarsh, Sarah Lowery, and Kurt Saltmarsh and her step-daughter, Cindy Shea. She also leaves several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 2:30pm to 4:00pm with a celebration of her life immediately following at 4:00pm. A private interment at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery will be held at a late date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Hospice House or the Pope Memorial SPCA.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Bennett Funeral Home of Concord.
