Mary V. Osgood, 95, of Concord, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010. Born and raised in Terrell, Texas, Mary relocated to New Hampshire upon marriage to Col. James D. Osgood, her late husband, where she lived for 75 years.
Mary enjoyed a full and purposeful life and often expressed that she enjoyed three rewarding careers; raising her three children; securing a Master's degree in her early fifties and launching a special education program through the NH Department of Education for children in need; and designing and producing unique silver jewelry as a juried silversmith with the League of NH Craftsman, which recognized her with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Mary was devoted to her family and had many wonderful and diverse friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Mary is survived by her two children, William Osgood and his wife Deborah of East Kingston, and Mary Ann Coppolla of Kingston. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Bennett Funeral Home, 3 Church Street, Concord (brick building). Interment will take place in the spring.
