I just hemmed and took in my daughter's costume for a school project (due tomorrow). The only reason I'm not spending my day finding an available tailor is Mrs. Harmon's dedication to her students.  She is the only reason I can sew anything and I often use skills she taught us in the kitchen.  I am very sorry for your loss. Her skills live live on daily in so many in the Bow community and we  all appreciate her.

Our deepest sympathy to you four children whom your parents warmly spoke of so often as we went on hiking trips, cruised together, dined out together and howled with laughter together.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I have been remembering all the great memories I have with her and your family growing up. Weekends at the beach, hiking Mount Checora, holiday trips to Boston to see the Christmas lights.... I know she and Mr H are happily reunited. We will miss Jean. As a Home Ec teacher years ago and as a friend in later years. My daughter remembers her bringing Bob the Dog to Cilley's when my daughter worked there. Arika (my daughter) always enjoyed seeing and visiting with Jean. She and my mom were members of the Happy Hookers at White Rock together and this past Tuesday went to the UMW meeting together. She was a wonderful lady and will be greatly missed!

Will miss Mrs. Harmon as a Home Ec teacher so many years ago. Also, in later years, when she told me to start calling her by her first name, I enjoyed seeing her at some church functions and remember how she was always willing to lend a helping hand to those who needed it and whenever asked to help out at church. She and my mom were members of Happy Hookers at White Rock together. Mom said Jean always enjoyed her time being creative with the other ladies. Rest in Peace, Jean. (You will always be Mrs. Harmon in my heart!)

My hart goes out to all of you. Mrs Harmon was a great teacher and a wonderful person. I like to think she was the one that had faith in me when no else did. She was able to save me from making some wrong decisions . Jean was my mentor and and gave me strength to follow my hart and dreams. She has fallowed my career and thanks to her I am a chef today. She even thought us to like classical music. Jean was a real person and a mother .That came through and made her a great teacher. Thanks for all the memories and life lessons my friend
