Born on September 17, 1916 in Concord, she was the daughter of Robert Johnson Lougee and Stella May (Curtis) Lougee.
She was born at Sugarball in Concord, where she was the 7th generation from Captain David Kimball, who settled in Sugarball in 1727.
She had a grandfather and 2 great grandfathers who fought in the Civil War, all from the Concord area. Her ancestors also fought in the Colonial and Revolutionary Wars.
She was an avid birder for 60 years. She volunteered at the Audubon Society since 1955 and received several awards. She enjoyed birding trips to Trinidad and Tobago and Big Bend, Texas and many closer trips to Plum Island, MA, Quebec, Mohegan Island, Maine. She also enjoyed wildflowers and puttering around in her flower garden. Her love of nature was passed on to her daughters and granddaughters.
She was a member of the Concord Bird and Wild Flower Club, President of the Dame School Mothers Club before it became the PTO. She was a crossing guard for the Concord Police Department in the early 1960’s at Loudon Road and East Side Drive.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert J. Dyment in 1970; and by her brothers Robert Lougee and Loren Lougee; and one sister Evelyn Lougee all of Concord.
She is survived by two daughters, Roberta Collins, Dianne Dyment; three granddaughters, Erika Towle, Abby Collins, Holly Dyment all of Concord; and nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law.
