He was pre deceased by his brothers Henry, Robert and Michael and his sisters Agnes, Florence, and Patricia all of Massachusetts.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ann T. (Goode) Jones, sons Joseph Jones Jr. of Centralia, IL; Kevin Jones of Concord; Stephen Jones of Bow and daughters Debra Jones and Donna Jones, both of Bow. Grand children Jennifer Manus of Waxhaw, NC, Dayna Jones of Centralia: Robert Jones of Joplin, MO; Nicole and Kevin Jones of Concord; and great grandchildren Dakota, Victoria and Mairin Belle.
Joe was a printer by trade who worked for 47 years at Universal Packaging. He was the plant manager at their Bow, NH, Lumberton, NC and Mitchell, SD plants.
Joe was an avid golfer and Red Sox fan who spent his youth in Fenway Park. Joe’s claim to fame was that he caught (and dropped) Ted Williams 400th home run. His greatest passion was his love of family although he would have loved to have hit the daily number.
Visiting hours will be from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 P.M. on Tuesday July 6 at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, Concord. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. on Wednesday, July 7 at St. John the Evangelist Church in Concord. Interment will follow in Evans Cemetery in Bow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bow Fire and Rescue whom the family owes a debt of gratitude for their kindness and assistance.
