Joan was born in Manchester, NH on November 3, 1932. She graduated from Central High School in 1950 and attended Plymouth State College.
Joan is predeceased by her husband Nelson of 64 years.
Joan enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, crocheting, gardening, caring for her roses, and rides in the convertible. Her focus was always on her family, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. From knitting them sweaters to supporting them in their every endeavor and picking them up when they were down, Joan did it with an abundance of love and laughter. Her hugs were legendary and were the best symbol of her love and approval.
She is survived by her daughters Sharron, married to Richard Barry of Virginia and Sandra, married to Greg Mossinghoff of North Carolina; sons Robert, married to Martha (Wendelin) of Concord, Bruce, married to Debbie (Fletcher) of Bow, and Mark, married to Laurie (LaFrance) of Chichester; her grandchildren Jennifer McAllister, Eric Marshall, Evan Marshall, Robert Marshall, Graham Mossinghoff, Joseph Marshall, Allison Hurley, Brooke Marshall, Emma Marshall, and John Marshall and great grandchildren Cali McAllister and Nellie Marshall. She is also survived by her brother Frank Champagne, sister Pauline Belanger and by her many loving, extended family members.
Joan led a wonderful life. She will be missed greatly by her family and many friends, but her legacy will live on through her children.
