Jeff was loved by so many people of all ages. He could not imagine the love and support that he is missing out on. His beliefs were strong but he accepted other people’s opinions. “I am a Libertarian.” Jeff appreciated an intelligent exchange of ideas and was always looking to broaden his scopes. He had an unending curiosity for all things and handled as much as he could with humor and intelligence accompanied by pride and stubbornness.
If you were his friend, he was loyal to the end.
Members of his family include his beloved wife, Cheryl-Lee Clough-Garvin; his two daughters, Adelaide and Elidi who were his life, and his two step-children, Aspen and Billy Dubuque, who he was very proud of; his parents, Gary and Candie Garvin; his sister, Kelly (James Stein); aunts, Jan O’Malley (Patrick) and Tammy Fruscio (Mark); uncles, Ed Morrell (Sylvia), Kip Garvin (Melanie) and Bill Garvin; his cousin clan includes, Patrick (Gina), Kyle, Marc, Lindsay (Clayton, Riley (Erin), Anthony (Alexis), Jenna (Eli), Dominic (Abby) and Hunter (Kayla) and his sister in law, Jennifer Clough. Although he had not met them, he is also survived by his cousin clan’s children who would have adored Jeff, the Gentle Giant. Children were drawn to him, as he was to them.
The family would like to thank the Hopkinton Community for their love and support, friends and relatives both near and far for their kindness that we will never forget.
Hug your loved ones, love them unconditionally and keep asking questions of authority…he’s smiling at us all now.
