James was a graduated from UNH, class of 1971, with a Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering. He worked his entire career for the State of NH DOT - Highway Design Division. In those 33 years, he made a lot of dear friends.
He lived most of his young life in Connecticut, and then moved to New Hampshire to attend college. He met his wife while in school, and made his home in New Hampshire. He maintained memberships to the National Society of Professional Engineers, as well as the NH Society of Professional Engineers, his entire career.
James was an avid audiophile, and enjoyed helping his friends select and install stereo systems. He loved his cars, particularly his "baby" - a 2005 yellow Corevette, and going on cruise ships with friends. James loved sports, and like a true New Englander, was a big fan of all the Boston sports teams. He could never turn down stopping for an ice cream at Arnie's.
James was a man that truly loved his family and his friends. He will be missed and remembered for his kindness and generosity.
James is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathleen Theophilos; his daughter Tricia Heath and husband Carter; his granddaughter Kelsea Ranieri and husband Anthony; his grandson Keaton Heath and wife Miranda; his great granddaughter Sophia Heath, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his father Alexander G. Theophilos and his mother Helen (Rykala) Theophilos; and his brother David Theophilos.
