James graduated from Concord High School in 1967 before serving 4 years in the Navy on the USS Pocono. He later went to work as a packaging laborer for Kraft Foods. James loved to be in nature, he could always be found hunting, fishing, searching for wildlife, and taking long rides in the country. He loved to both play golf and watch golf on TV, when there wasn’t a Patriots or Red Sox game on. He also loved to go candle pin bowling and spending time with his loved ones.
James is survived by his sister Barbara; his partner of 35 years, Bernice Oliver; her children Denise Nylen and her husband Jon; Tom Smart and his wife, Laura; Ken Smart and his wife Sarah; the grandchildren James, Ashley, Heather, Blake and Landon; and two nieces and one nephew. James was predeceased by his father, John in 1976; his mother Dorothy in 2006; and his brother Robert in 2011. He will be greatly missed by all.
