Elizabeth A. Owen

Mrs. Owen was born on April 29, 1935, in Wakefield, MA, the daughter of the late Raymond L. and Alice L. Doucette.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the shoe manufacturing business and worked at numerous shoe factories in Massachusetts.

She was a member of the American Legion and the DAV. Mrs. Owen loved jewelry and helping others.

Members of her family include her husband, Walter E. Owen, of Loudon, NH; three sons, Chuck Shepperd, of Pelham, NH; Steven Shepperd, of Florida; Ed Shepperd, of New York; two daughters, Sharon Homer, of Manchester, NH; Cookie Zimont of Allenstown, NH; stepson, Walter J. Owen of Manchester, NH; two stepdaughters, Darline Smith, of Concord, NH; Mary Rowell, of Danbury, NH; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a sister, Dorothy Josephson, of Missouri.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main Street, in Concord. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, 11:00 AM at The Immaculate Heart of Mary, 180 Loudon Road, in Concord. Committal prayers and interment will follow at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, in Boscawen.
