Dennis, you are in our heartfelt thoughts and prayers.

I will always treasure the phone conversation I had with Darlene just a few weeks before she passed away. Darlene had such a beautiful spirit.  She was so tender-hearted and funny and fun-loving.  
She enriched my life in so many ways.

Darlene was a dear friend in high school and I loved her wide interests, sweet disposition and gentle spirit. Condolences to the family

Perhaps Darlene was my best friend in the world. We didn't get to see each other often, but we had our letters and on the phone we could always pick up and continue our life's conversation. To say I will miss her is an understatement. She was a brave and beautiful, smart and funny, rare and remarkable human being.

It was my honor to escort Darlene to her class during our high school years and to her ride in the evenings. She was loved by her classmates at Wichita Falls High School.

Darlene was one of my oldest and best friends, and though her health always plagued her, she had the sweetest and richest sense of humor I've ever known. She had a great mind and a generous, unyielding spirit. I'll miss her terribly.
