Constance S. Roy Tousignant

Born September 8, 1934 in Manchester, NH, to Launey C. and Bernadette Roy, she spent her youth in the Queen City and graduated Manchester West High School in 1952. After living in Suncook and Hooksett, she moved to Concord in 1977 and had been a resident there until her death.

Connie was a dedicated Roman Catholic who served the church in many capacities throughout her life, most notably as Director of Religious Education at Sacred Heart Church in Concord, NH, for nearly two decades. Widely known for her warm, welcoming manner, she took particular joy in helping people to navigate their faith journeys, whether working with parish youth in CCD classes or adults in the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) program.

She is survived by her husband, E. Paul Tousignant, and son, John P. Tousignant, both of Concord, as well as her two grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 11, 2010 from

4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main St. in Concord, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 52 Pleasant St, in Concord.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Monestary of the Precious Blood in Manchester, NH or a charity of the donor’s choice.
