Winnie Mae Murdoch, age 84, died Wednesday October 10, 2012 at University Hospital East. Winnie was born in Columbus, OH on December 22, 1927 the daughter of Nettie May (Mathis) and Jim B. Flovin. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Columbus Assembly #79 Beauceant. She is preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Thomas E. Murdoch, Sr. and her brother Oscar Flovin. Winnie is survived by her children Thomas E. Murdoch, Jr., Jerry Murdoch and Elaine M. Davis; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings Donald Flovin, Margaret Fisher, Minnie Slone, Jim Flovin and Jack Flovin; and a host of nieces and nephews. A service will be held at 10:00am Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Chapel followed by a graveside committal service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to the funeral home to offset the funeral expenses. Arrangements by Schoedinger Midtown Chapel.
