Wilton E. “Bud” Christopher, age 93, of Circleville, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2011. He was born in Point Marion, Penn., on November 24, 1918, to the late Harry D. and Ida M. (Everly) Christopher, and he was very proud to grow up in West Virginia. Bud was married in 1955 to Isabelle Ensminger, and the two owned Christopher Pontiac from 1959-1969. They then co-owned Christopher’s Don Boutique from 1969-1991. Bud was a member of Community United Methodist Church. He was a 50-year member of the Aladdin Shriners, a 60-year member of the Free and Accepted Masons and Scottish Rite, and an active member of the Rotary Club of Circleville. He was also a member of The Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. Bud loved fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. He was very outgoing and personable, and he will be remembered for his kindness and positive attitude. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Isabelle Christopher; siblings, Warren, Dale and Ralph Christopher; and step-son, George Beale. Bud is survived by his children, Robert (Della) Christopher and Richard (Kathy) Christopher; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at the DEFENBAUGH-WISE-SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL HOME, 151 E. Main St., Circleville. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Barry Burns officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Cemetery.
