After graduating with a master's degree from Michigan State University, Bill enlisted to serve his county in both the United States Army and United States Air Force. Bill made a career out of his time in the military retiring after 22 years of service from the Ohio National Guard. After retiring he worked for MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) until his illness.
Bill is known for his wonderful sense of humor, intelligence, and his big heart. Throughout his life, he enjoyed watching movies and spending quality time with his children, participating in chili cookoffs through work, and being in the company of his grandson. He will be remembered most for his homemade peanut butter fudge and his warm smile.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Bill is survived by his two children, Nicole Robinson and Christopher Hurst; his life partner Christine Robinson; his grandson CJ Hurst; niece Amber Bucklew; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a Memorial Service that will be held for Bill on Wednesday, September 16 at 6pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST FUNERAL HOME, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd, Gahanna. Pastor Thomas Jefferson to officiate.
