William Frederick Emmert, 82 of Columbus, died Saturday, July 14, 2012. He was born May 12, 1930 in Marysville, OH to the late John and Irene (Weibley) Emmert. He was a graduate of Marysville High School and served in U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member and former deacon at Linden Lutheran Church. He enjoyed word search puzzles and watching TV. His favorite sports teams were the OSU Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. He is preceded in death by several siblings and survived by his loving wife Janet and three daughters Ruby (Arnie) Asbury-Saari, Nancy (Abe) Miller and Alli (Earnie) Meade, eight grandchildren Heidi (Brian) Sutter-Smith, Charles (Stacy) Wesley Asbury III, Larry Halleck, Shonette Evans, Acette Davis, Earnie Meade Jr., Bobbi Jo Halleck and Michele Halleck, several great grandchildren and sister Janie (Larry) Sampson. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 1 PM.
