Wanda Laurabelle Raftery

Wanda “Wendy” Laurabelle Raftery, 75, of Columbus passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital on October 21, 2021. Born on October 1, 1946, in Columbus, OH to the late Samuel Wheatley and Margaret DeVault (Wheatley). Wendy graduated from Reynoldsburg High School in 1964. Proceeded in death by her parents; siblings, Cheryl (Wheatley) Kennedy, Steven Wheatley and stepsister Mary (Cloyce) Meyers; previous husband, Donald Hubbard; stepson Carl Raftery Jr. and special nephew Donovan Kennedy. Survived by her husband who passed days later, Carl Raftery Sr.; children, stepson Joel (Amy) Hubbard, stepdaughter Lynn (Brian) Manville; daughter-in-law Susanne Banche (Raftery); special niece Cori (Jamey) Walker; grandchildren, Dakota and Rhiannon Hubbard, Sean (Tiffaney) Raftery, Anthony Raftery, Nolan and Darin Manville. Special great nieces, Devon (Jordan) Hatem and Elizabeth (Ryan) Davis. Great grandchildren, Sean Raftery Jr., Alexa and Shianne Raftery. Special great-great nephews, Hudson, Holden and Harlan Hatem and J.D. Davis; numerous other extended family and good friends. Friends may call at Schoedinger Funeral Home, 5554 Karl Rd. Columbus, OH 43229 on October 29, 2021, from 10am to 12noon, where services will be held beginning at 12noon followed by burial at Union Evangelical Cemetery in Baltimore, OH In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to HDSA (Huntington’s Disease Society of America) or to the Reynoldsburg Truro Historical Society.
