Violet Elizabeth Edwards

Bettie, age 92, joined her husband Thomas Joseph (Joe), the love of her life for 60 years, in eternal rest on March 19. She was born in Hendrysburg, Ohio, and was the youngest of four children. Bettie is preceded in death by parents Robert (R.C.) Clement, Georgiana Kerns Shipley, and brother Robert C. Shipley. Known for her insightful wisdom, unconditional love, and generous spirit, Bettie poured out her heart to her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by two children Richard Edwards and Cindy (Edwards) Lawson (Thomas); beloved granddaughter Sarah Lawson, to whom she shared a supernatural unbreakable connection; treasured sister Anna Margaret Armbrust (Peg) and beloved brother Charles (Chuck) Shipley. She also leaves behind cherished nieces, nephews, relatives, close friends, and Wesley Ridge neighbors. Her memorial service, celebrating Bettie's life, will be held at the Wesley Ridge Retirement Community Kimes Chapel, 2229 Taylor Park Dr. Reynoldsburg OH 43068, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2015.
