Verna Mae Weaver, 83, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024 at home with her family by her side. She was born on September 12, 1940 in Columbus, OH to the late William and Artie (Talbert) Loftus. She was a factory worker with 25 years of service, and she enjoyed crafts especially sewing. In addition to her parents, Verna Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Weaver; son, William E. Weaver and 5 siblings. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Margaret Weaver; daughter-in-law, Denise Weaver; grandchildren, William, Robert, and Michelle Weaver and 4 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday, March 5th and 12:30-1:30 pm Wednesday, March 6th at Schoedinger East, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the funeral service will begin at 1:30 pm. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
