Valerie Lynn Jewett

Valerie was born in Columbus, Ohio, on October 28, 1954, graduated from Hilliard High School in 1973, and was a member of Westgate United Methodist Church.

Throughout her life, she loved all animals, especially her dog, Muffin. Over the years, she contributed to numerous animal welfare organizations around the world, hoping to make a difference in an animal's life. One of her favorite pastimes was playing with her sister's five dogs. They, in turn, loved to snuggle with her.

Valerie is preceded in death by her father, Walter E. Hoffman; husband, Kenneth W. Jewett; and brother-in-law, Hobert Van Hoose.

She is survived by her mother, Dolores A. Hoffman; sisters, Cathy (Tom) Henderson and Pamela Van Hoose; niece Jessica Henderson Cook (Derek); nephews Scott Henderson and Seth (Krystin) Henderson; great-nephew Bryson Cook and many cousins.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Schoedinger Northwest, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221, where funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. Internment at Sunset Cemetery in Galloway, Ohio.
