Thom went home to the Lord on Tuesday, October 13, 2021. Thom was a proud member of the Local 189 Union for 40+ years. He is remembered as a hard worker, wise mentor, and beloved husband, father, and friend.
Born and raised in Columbus, and a 1974 graduate of North High School, Thom loved the Buckeyes, Blue Jackets, Reds, and was a Browns hopeful. He was a former Deacon and Youth Leader at Northeast Church of Christ and a former Sunday School teacher and small group leader at Shepherd Church of The Nazarene in Gahanna.
He will be deeply missed; but his memory will live on through his wife Kimberly Martin Willis; his four children Ryan (Andy) Willis, Joel Willis, Sarah (Willis) and Elessio Garcia, and Jonathan Willis; sisters, Sandy (Dave) Kronk and Sue (Jim) Welsh; and his father-in-law, William Martin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles F. and Mary (Lewis) Willis and his mother-in-law, Marilyn Martin.
The family will host calling hours at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Tuesday, October 19, and a service to celebrate Thom's life on Wednesday, October 20 at 11:00 AM.
