Thomas L. Hawk, age 86, of Upper Arlington, died Friday, December 4, 2015. He was born April 15, 1929, in Columbus, Ohio, only child of Howard E. and Eleanor (Lehne) Hawk. A registered jeweler, he was the owner of Thomas L. Hawk Jewelers for over 49 years. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Connie K. Hawk; sons, Robert (Jayn) Hawk and Jim Hawk; six grandchildren; three step-children; seven step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his first wife, Merna Hawk, 1981, and son, David Hawk, in 2013. Thomas was a 1947 graduate of Upper Arlington High School and attended The Ohio State University, where he was an active member and alumnus of Sigma Chi fraternity. He was a member of First Community Church and along with Connie a member of Couples Circle #20. Thomas was a longtime member and past President of Vaud-Villities; a member of Young Business Men’s Club, and active in the Upper Arlington Senior Center. He was a member of Community Lodge #648 F & AM and Scottish Rite, Valley of Columbus. Thomas was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved spending time with family and rooting for The Ohio State Buckeye football team. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2pm on January 23rd, 2016, at Olentangy Christian Reformed Church, 3660 Olentangy River Rd. with Pastor Bob Arbogast officiating. There will be a private interment at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, Ohio.
