Thomas “Tom” Jefferson Estep, age 63, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at home with his family, after a courageous battle with Lung Cancer. He was born on November 5, 1948 to James and Cora Estep in Sunbury, OH. Tom was a strong, caring, loyal, loving, and hardworking husband, father, grandfather, and friend; who always put his family first. He was an Army Veteran that served in the Vietnam War from 1968-1970. He enjoyed OSU basketball and football as well as fishing, and spending time with his grandkids. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, James and Cora Estep; and siblings, Paul, Harrison, Lunnie May, Frances, and Babe Estep. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Alice Estep; loving children, Christy (David) Estep-Brownlee, Heather Estep-Lauritsen, Brett and Amber Estep; grandchildren; Ashley Brownlee, Adrya Lauritsen, Aidan, Jayden, Logan, and Cooper Estep; siblings, Rose McGuire, Mary Jane Boysel, David, Jimmy “Jr”(Ernestine), and Jackie (Nancy) Estep; his special niece and great-nephew, Cassie and Mykel; and many other nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family. Friends may call from 2pm-4pm on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL 3920 Broadway Grove City where the funeral service will begin at 4pm. Pastor Rob Paugh officiating.
