

Susan M. Mosure, age 41, passed away at her home, with her family by her side on Thursday, September 7, 2017 after a courageous thirteen-month battle with cancer. She was born in Springfield, Ohio on May 29, 1976 to Dr. Richard “Dick” and Deanna (Burns) Soldner.
Susan is survived by her loving family: her husband of 17 years, Tim Mosure; their children, Bryn and Tyler; parents Dr. Richard “Dick” Soldner and Deanna Soldner; siblings Lori (Russ) Ballentine and Jeff (Martha) Soldner; in-laws Ted and Linda Mosure; sister-in-law Laurie Bertrand; nieces, Abbie, Emily, Elizabeth, Ashley, Kaitlyn and Finley; nephews, Michael and Jason; and many long-time friends.
She was a 1994 graduate from Northwestern High School in Springfield, Ohio, where she received the designation of Salutatorian. In 1998, Susan graduated summa cum laude from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. Susan was a Certified Public Accountant and most recently, the Finance Director at The Learning Spectrum.
Susan’s interests included anything and everything to do with her children. She served various roles as treasurer, vice-president and president on the elementary school’s PTO. Susan was an enthusiastic advocate for children and adults with autism spectrum disorder. She used her talents to raise awareness and assist others to navigate autism services and support.
Her family will receive friends from 5-8pm, Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High Street (1/2 mile South of I-270), where her Funeral Service will be held at 10am, Wednesday, September 13, 2017. Funeral Celebrant, Mark Dettmer, officiating. Internment to follow at Cheshire Cemetery located at 3271 Cheshire Road in Delaware, Ohio.
The family will be establishing a memorial fund in Susan’s name. Proceeds will be used to provide financial support so that more families are able to participate in much needed autism-related therapies and summer programs at The Learning Spectrum. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting financial contributions be made to the memorial fund. Information regarding how to make a memorial contribution will be available to family and friends once it is established.
