Sonia E. Smith

Sonia E. Smith, age 67 of Pickerington, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023. Sonia was born May 2, 1956 on the Caribbean Island of Barbados, daughter of Eleanor Austin and Neville Mahon. Sonia was the loving wife of Anthony Smith; mother of Jamila and Shomari Smith; sister of Coreen Auston-Suknanan, Shelly Ann Austin-Taylor and Patrick Austin; niece of Marion Cumberbatch, Viola Griffith, Loretta Edwards (deceased), Joyce Griffith (deceased), Wilmour Mahon, Jean Edwards, Keith Mahon and Barbara Edwards; cousins of Patterson Austin, Waveney Austin, Esme Turner, Maria Markle, Marcelle Mahon, Alison Figueroa, Kerwin Brathwaite, Michael Edwards, Erwin Thompson and many more in Barbados, England, Venezuela, and the USA; and sister-in-law of Beverly Clarkson, Joyce Taylor, June Smith, Margaret Smith, and Dawn Barret. We all value the 67 years that she was with us and thank God for her as she rests in His ever-loving arms!

Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221, where a funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.
