Sheila was born on Sept. 30, 1962, in Seattle, and she moved to Ohio with her family when she was 6 years old. A 1980 graduate of Franklin Heights High School, Sheila graduated cum laude from Ohio Northern University in 1984 and received her JD degree at The Ohio State University College of Law in 1987.
She was a practicing attorney in Columbus for 30+ years and was admired by so many in the Columbus law community. She spent most of her legal career in private practice, helping hundreds of clients navigate the legal system. She retired from Sinno Law Office in 2021.
Among a number of awesome achievements in life, Sheila counted her two daughters, Dina, 28, and Hana, 23, as her most important ones. She was a proud field hockey mom who was often the loudest person in the stands rooting for them, from Columbus Academy to Thomas Worthington to Harvard and Miami universities.
Sheila was well-known for having an infectious laugh and a beautiful smile that lit up every room and stadium she entered. She was the type of person who made friends everywhere she went—and she held onto those friends forever.
She is survived by her daughters, Dina Giacin and Hana Sinno; her mother, Sue Pullen; her sister, Ginger Pullen; her son-in-law Tony Giacin, and hundreds of friends who loved her.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Schoedinger Worthington Funeral Home, 6699 North High St., Worthington, Ohio, 43085. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. with a celebration of life reception to follow at 3PM at the funeral home.
