Shawn Alan King, age 57, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Shawn was born on June 25, 1965 in San Diego, CA to John and Linda (LeChette) King. Shawn graduated from Green Sea Floyds High School in Duford, SC and then attended The Citadel in Charleston, SC. He loved music and singing Karaoke. His booming voice would be recognized by all, along with his infectious laugh. Shawn was an amazing chef. He loved sports and was active in dart league, bowling, volleyball and softball. An avid Duke Fan and also enjoyed his garden, fruit trees and flowers. Being a well rounded individual he also liked reading and Sci-Fi movies. Shawn will be missed by all that knew him. Preceded in death by his brother, Jason King. Survived by his husband, Randy Rolan Gibson; parents, John and Linda King; sister, Heather K. Harlow; nieces and nephews, Blair Nealy, Sophia Elise Harlow, Madison Noll, and Quinten Sagisi and many friends. A private cremation is planned and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
