Officer Sean Richard Johnson, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016. He was 46 years old. Sean was a veteran of the Hilliard Police Department, with 16 years of dedicated service. He was part of their newly formed motorcycle unit, and died during a training exercise.
Sean was a graduate of Brownsville High School, in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, Class of 1988. He went on to serve our country with the United States Air Force, and graduated from Columbus State University, with an Associate’s Degree.
A devoted family man, Sean will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory are the Hilliard Police Department family; his Mom, Rebecca Dulik; beloved friend and former wife, Amy Johnson and their beautiful children Nicholas and Olivia; his sister Lou Ann (Mike) Johnson-Lee; brother Mark D. (Holly) Johnson; his nieces and nephews Shirley Ann (Donnie) Sherlock, Vincent Johnson, Kevin Johnson (fiancée, Amy McCrory), Natassia Stevenson, Natasha Travillian; Alexandria, Samantha, Joel, Luke, Matthew Johnson, and their families; half-brother, Dennis (Penny) Johnson and half-sister Kathy (George) Milne, and their families; many aunts, uncles and cousins; father and mother in law, Don and Jeanne Postiy; sister in law Lisa (Ed) Muller and their sons, Ryan, Eddie and Braden; Sean’s best friend Andy (Michelle) Anderson and their family.
He joins his father, Louis D. Johnson; Jr. and maternal grandparents, Martha and John Dulik.
Family will receive friends from 4-8pm, Tuesday, May 24th, 2016 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 313 N State St, Westerville, OH 43082, where an FOP Service will conclude the visitation at 7:30pm that evening. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30am, Wednesday, May 25th, 2016 at the church. Father David Sizemore, Celebrant and Father David Gwinner, Concelebrant. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
