Scarlett Leigh Chapman, of Powell, passed out of our life to sit in the palm of God on April 29, 2010. She was born September 11, 1969 in Memphis, TN and lived in Alabama, Kentucky, and North Carolina. Graduate of Upper Arlington High School. She excelled as a gymnast, cheerleader, pianist and golfer. She loved her horse, Forrest, Comet her dog, and Chancy her cat. She cherished and lived for her son Hayden Brown. She worked as a right-of-way engineer at Integrated Building Systems. She attended various Methodist churches and played in the bell choir. Preceded in death by her grandparents Herbert Joyce, Jr., and Evelyn Sutton. Survived by parents Al and Virginia Chapman; son Hayden Brown and his father Doug Brown; brother Chip (Rebecca) Chapman; grandparents Leonora H. Joyce and Henry I. Chapman, Sr.; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Family will receive friends Sunday, May 2, from 2-4 pm at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 North High Street, (1/2 mile from I-270, where a funeral service will be held on Monday, May 3, 2010 at 11:00AM.
