February 9, 1931 – July 5, 2022
If this in the paper, with
obituaries read,
it has to mean my life is done.
It has to mean I’m dead.
But do not weep to read these words,
and do not heave a sigh.
My years were filled with love and joy.
It’s time to say “Goodbye”.
Kittanning, Pennsylvania was
a great hometown for me.
To Jot and Esther Crum, I was
the oldest child of three.
When Oberlin Conservatory
came to be my college,
I met and fell in love with Bob
while gaining music knowledge.
When school was done, I married Bob,
and lovely dream come true.
I gave piano lessons and
I taught school music too.
My husband showed his love for me
with every passing day,
and Bob’s the reason life was sweet,
a beautiful bouquet.
Our sons are kind and loving too.
Dan, Darrell, Tom are dear,
and Ada and Emmanuel,
our grandkids brought me cheer.
My days were full of glad delight,
as fine as life could be.
I do not envy you live,
but you should envy me.
