Sandra L. Ramey

Sandra L. "Sandy" Ramey, 78, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2021. She was born on August 9, 1942 to the late Charles F. and Lucile E. Weaver in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by one aunt, five uncles, and several cousins.

She attended grade school in Denver and high school in Aurora, Colorado.

Sandy met her loving husband, Jim, while attending Colorado State University. They were married on February 23, 1963 in Aurora, Colorado. Sandy worked as a cosmetologist for a few years in Fort Collins and Tuscon, Arizona while Jim completed his bachelor and master's degrees. They lived in Minnesota, Ohio, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming as Jim followed his career with USDA.

Sandy loved children, so she volunteered and worked in the schools in Virginia and Wisconsin where her children attended. Later, she worked in Dublin City Schools as a substitute office worker, mail person, nurse's aide, and receptionist.

She has been a member of Dublin Community Church for the past 30 years.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Jim; son, Darin (Sarah) Ramey and daughter, Cheryl Ramey; grandson, Lee; one aunt; and several cousins.

Her pleasant smile and caring attention will be missed by those who knew her. Arrangements entrusted to SCHOEDINGER DUBLIN where a visitation will take place on Thursday, March 11 from 4-7pm. A private funeral service will be held for Sandy the following day. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Sandy's name to Dublin Community Church, 81 W.
