Ruth “Ruthie” McCreary, age 55, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2010. She was a member of Abundant Life Tabernacle. Ruthie found enjoyment baking Christmas cookies, playing Club Pogo, camping at Deer Creek, taking road trips, and dancing with the grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard McCreary; sister, Barbara Hanson; and daughter-in-law, Mary Borders. Ruthie is survived by her children, Richard McCreary, Brenda (Gary) Landis, Samuel (Pamela) McCreary, and James (Lisa) McCreary; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Melvin Siders, Robert Lutz and Harold Lutz; and sisters, Helen Lutz and Mary (Matt Long) Price; other family and friends. Funeral service 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 21 at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL 3030 W. Broad St. where friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday. Pastor R. M. Swain officiating. Interment 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Berkshire Cemetery.
