Ruth L. Johnson

Ruth L. Johnson, 93. Born May 1, 1920, passed away November 27, 2013 at Emeritus at Chestnut Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred L. Johnson, all three of her brothers and four sisters. Ruth is survived by her son David Johnson, and two daughters Linda (Jim) Velliquette and Carolyn (Bill) Otis; six grandchildren and 12 great-grand children. She retired as supervisor of Payroll from Columbus Developmental Center. Our sincere thanks to her many, many friends who visited her faithfully for the six months since she suffered a stroke; the Emeritus staff; the nurses, aides, director of Emeritus, the director of Residential Services, the head of laundry, the cooks, wait staff, the beautician, the podiatrist and the Hospice staff. Thanks also to the residents who loved and cared about mom, with a special thanks to Dorothy. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am, Monday, December 2, 2013 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (at Beecher Rd.) Gahanna, where the family will receive friends from 2-5pm, Sunday, December 1, 2013. John Willbur and Randy Satterfield officiating.
