Ruth Ann Hand

Ruth Ann Hand, 68, of Stoutsville, formerly of Pt. Pleasant, WV, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011 in Circleville. She was born October 24, 1942 in Pt. Pleasant, the daughter of the late of Isaiah and Bessie (Pearson) Crump. Ruth was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hand; an infant son, David Wayne Hand; a sister; and 3 brothers. She is survived by her children, Debra (Adam) Hundley of Stoutsville; Patricia (Chuck) Grimmett of Fulton, Richard Hand II of Columbus and Elizabeth Hand of Carroll; grandchildren, Suzann and Tyler Hundley; 12 brothers and sisters; several nieces and nephews. Ruth was an avid reader and especially liked Agatha Christie novels. She also enjoyed working all kinds of puzzles and loved anything chocolate. Her smile, her laugh, her hugs and her humor will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
