Robert “Bob” L. Sutphin, age 63, of Orient, Ohio passed away on Friday, February 18, 2011 at his home. Bob was born in Long Beach, California on August 24, 1947 to the late Budy and Elenora (Wright) Sutphin. He was a 1965 graduate of Columbus West High School. Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served on the USS Oriskany during Vietnam and retired from AT&T after 37 years of service. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 11208 and the Kevin C. Ott AMVETS Post 1941, both in Harrisburg and the Grove City Masonic Lodge #689. Bob enjoyed cycling, hunting, and fishing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his aunt and uncle, Roy “Mickey” and Margaret “Billie” Wright. Survivors include his high school sweetheart and wife of 42 years, Teresa Sutphin; children, Kathryn Sutphin and Micah (Kristina) Sutphin; grandsons, Elijah, Aedan, Thaddaeus, and Samuel; and many friends. Friends may call Tuesday, February 22, 2011 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER-NORRIS CHAPEL 3920 Broadway Grove City. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 1:00PM at the Grove City United Methodist Church, 2710 Columbus St., Grove City, Ohio. Pastor Wayne Stuntz officiating.
